Common questions about PocketChan

Is there a 4chan app for iPhone?

PocketChan is one. It is a real iOS app rather than the website in a wrapper, so it uses native navigation, gestures, and share sheets throughout, and it runs on iPhone and iPad on iOS 16.4 or later.

Does PocketChan work on iPad?

Yes. The same app runs on iPhone and iPad, and the layout adapts to the larger screen rather than scaling up a phone view.

Is PocketChan free?

Yes. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no advertising in the app.

Do I need an account to use it?

No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no profile. Your favorites, watched threads, filters, and history are saved on your device and are not synced to any server, because there is no PocketChan server for them to reach.

Can I post to 4chan from PocketChan?

Yes. Replying is built in, with a native composer that takes an image or video attachment, and 4chan's verification opens in a sheet inside the app when it is needed. Posts go straight to 4chan.
